Fans will never forget the day Zayn Malik walked out from One Direction. After this move, he has been busy carving his own name in the music industry. He recently released his first ever solo album, “Mind of Mine.”
The album is set to be released on March 25, which marks his first anniversary going solo. The latest news sparks rumours that he intended to do this to diss his former group. However, Malik explained during a radio interview with Zach Sang & The Gang that it was just a mere coincidence.
“It wasn’t planned that way. It just seems to coincide with the iTunes launch and everything,” quoted from Sugar Scape. He then added, “Maybe it’s a sign.”

Meanwhile, the lead single from his new album, dubbed as “Pillowtalk,” slayed Justin Bieber’s “Love Yourself” in Irish Top Charts last week. The song’s music video, which garnered more than 50 million views after its release, features rumoured girlfriend Gigi Hadid.
The success of “Pillowtalk” will reportedly be followed by an unplugged version. Malik teased his followers via Instagram of this possibility recently. The short clip reached more than 680K likes and over 30K comments.
The acoustic version comes with the hashtag #livingroomsessions which suggests there will be more acoustic renditions to come.
Malik’s success is written all over the news. Amidst that, his busy schedule may have caused a backlash from his fans for cancelling his appearance on The Graham Norton Show and BBC Radio 1.
