The good old show of 1973 featured on CBS, The Young and The Restless led the list of nominees for the 43rd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards with 27 nominations.

The nominations included Outstanding Drama Series and acting nominations for Tracey E. Bregman, Justin Hartley, Christian LeBlanc, Kristoff St. John, Lauralee Bell, Jessica Collins, Steve Burton, Bryton James, Hunter King, Max Ehrich and Frank Runyeon, TV Guide reports. The Ellen DeGeneres Show is tops among talkers this year with 10 nominations, THR reports.

This will be the second time that awards will not be telecast in the past three years. The decision has been made by The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) in order to cut the cost.

“After months of negotiations to find show sponsorship, the NATAS executive board has decided that the current climate for awards shows prohibits the possibility of a telecast this year,” said NATAS president Bob Mauro to Variety. “With that said, we will be putting on a world-class awards celebration honoring the best and brightest of Daytime television and look forward to an exciting show. All efforts regarding returning the annual gala to television in 2017 are under way.”
