Original story:

A leaked list of Xbox Live Games with Gold for July 2016 was exposed ahead of the platform’s official announcement.

In a report by GearNuke, ekim from gaming forum NeoGAF revealed a partial list of what’s to come for next month’s Xbox Live Games with Gold. In his post, the user names “Banner Saga 2” for Xbox One and “RS Vegas 2” for Xbox 360 as the chosen games.

Ekim elaborates on the speculation by saying “…not really sure about but some things hint to Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate for X1 as well. I might add that the release of BS2 is end of July so this is kind of odd but there is enough “evidence” to make me 99% sure it’s coming.”

Ekim’s claim is most likely valid. GearNuke emphasizes that ekim is a credible source and his previous claims came true.

However, the website considers that the part of “Banner Saga 2’s” inclusion is a bit “dubious”. GearNuke notes that the said game does not have a release date yet. Still, Ekim’s claim expresses confidence that “Banner Saga 2′ gets released on late July, in time for Xbox Live Games with Gold.

Meanwhile, The BitBag offers another angle to the topic. While ekim revealed a partial list of what’s to come, TBB details what not to expect for Xbox Live’s July lineup.

The following makes it to The BitBag’s list of what not to expect:

1. “Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
2. “South Park: The Stick of Truth”

The website explains that remasters and pre-order bonuses have little chance of inclusion in a Xbox Games with Gold list.

Other titles

On the other hand, Christian Times relays rumors that bigger titles will make it to July’s Xbox Games with Gold. “Dead Rising 3”, “Final Fantasy 13”, and “Halo Wars” are the titles that make it to the list. The consideration of the three stems from their common characteristic: all have upcoming sequels.

Hence, the website details that such titles may appear for free to gather hype for the next games.
