Everyone’s dying to watch “X-Men: Apocalypse.”

The second trailer was released today and proved that we all have more reasons to be excited.

We finally get some action! According to The Verge, the first trailer mostly introduced titular character. This promo, on the other hand, gave a preview to the “big action moments”to come. Among them are the destruction of a whole city by yet-to-be-revealed forces and surface-to-air missile launches…both of which, according to HollywoodLife.com, might have been Apocalypse’s doing.

According to HollywoodLife.com, Apocalypse could just be the X-Men’s biggest opponent yet. He is an ancient mutant who seriously believes he needs to destroy the world to build a “better” one.

Fans’ favorite mutants, meanwhile, are back. But this time, the trailer confirms that they are going to be played by new faces.

Cyclops (Tye Sheridan), Storm (Alexandra Shipp), and Jean Grey (Game of Thrones’ Sophie Turner) all had their moments in the trailer. “Apocalypse” director Bryan Singer previously confirmed that he has recast these roles. This is because “Apocalypse” is set to take place in the past, when our fave mutants were younger. Sheridan, Shipp, and Grey will replace James Marsden, Halle Berry and Famke Janssen, respectively.

Psylocke (Olivia Munn) was also shown, shredding a car in half.

Singer meanwhile said it might be difficult to recast Hugh Jackman, who plays Wolverine. Wolverine, along with Professor Charles Xavier, is the only mutant to make an appearance in all previous X-Men films. Jackman earlier said the upcoming Wolverine sequel is the next and last time he will play the clawed mutant. It has been speculated that  Wolverine will at least appear in “Apocalypse” in a cameo.

The second trailer was shown during Super Bowl 50. According to The Verge, a slowed down version of an old Coldplay song, “Don’t Panic,” was used as the soundtrack of the trailer.

“X-Men: Apocalypse” is slated to hit theaters May 27th.
