“X-Men Apocalypse” star Jennifer Lawrence has always been a hot topic on the internet mostly because of her undeniable wit and charm. However, a report recently surfaced and it might put the jolly actress in a bad light.
As an International Business Times report mentioned, the actress was previously locked-up in the UK for several hours after she reportedly lied about her work visa. The incident which happened in 2011 proved to be very stressful to the actress as she was advised by her colleagues “to lie to customs agents and claim she was in the country for pleasure, not work.”
“They were like, ‘Whatever you do, don’t tell them that you’re here for work because they’ll ask for a work visa; say you’re here for pleasure.’ And I’m like, ‘Oh my good God — I have to lie to a customs officer,” Lawrence recalled on the “The Graham Norton Show.”
When asked about more details about her stay, Jennifer Lawrence claimed that her “brother was getting married.” After failing to show an invitation to the supposed wedding, the actress was forced to tell the truth.
“No! No! I’m here for work and I don’t have a work visa and my passport expires and I’m not even supposed to be here!” She shared. “I had to sit in a tiny little jail for like five hours while they called my employer,” said Lawrence. “I felt tiny.”
Meanwhile, as her new movie “X-Men Apocalypse” hit theatres in some countries recently, fans have started to speculate that this could be the last time audiences will see her as Mystique. Will she reprise her role in future X-Men flicks?
“Fassbender and McAvoy and I were all talking,” she told Entertainment Weekly (EW), “Like, ‘Will you come back?’ ‘I dunno.’ ‘I’ll come back if you come back.’ Fox should be terrified because the deal we made was like if one of us doesn’t come back, none of us are.”
