Sharon Osbourne seemed to reassure viewers that X Factor UK 2016 would be better this time around. However, her guarantee also came with choice words for the popular reality show’s previous judges.

News of major changes to the X Factor UK 2016 came out earlier with the revamp to the judges’ panel. It revealed the departure of Rita Ora, Nick Grimshaw and Cheryl Fernandez-Versini. Yet rumors quickly followed the overhaul as reports hinted that the influence and preference of Simon Cowell made it happen. Nevertheless, fans can supposedly expect a return to the show’s good old days. Based on the teaser it released last June, it would seem everything is back to normal on the show especially with the return of host Dermot O’Leary.

Returning judge Sharon Osbourne seemed intent to assure viewers the 13th season would be better. She was not shy about sharing her thoughts about Rita Ora and Nick Grimshaw. Both were new to the X Factor judges’ panel then. Moreover, she thought their respective careers did not give them enough credibility for their roles. Hence, Osbourne felt the advice received by last year’s batch of hopefuls was lacking. By contrast, Osbourne assured the new judges’ panel have the experience and credibility critical to the show and its contestants.

“Everyone has a test of time to see whether they are in or they are out. You get so many instant hits but three years down the line, they are gone. But we — Simon, Nicole, Louis and I — have all got decades in the business,” Sharon Osbourne told The Sun.

According to the Mirror, changes to the X Factor UK 2016 intend to attract viewers back to the show. The past couple of years witnessed a drop in the popular reality show’s ratings. It might be a tall order to accomplish yet it seems the new judges’ panel is up for the task. Nicole Scherzinger is reportedly happy about her latest discovery. The return date for the next season is expected in August. However, the production has yet to confirm the actual schedule.
