It was not a perfect night for one of the contestants on “X Factor” Australia after he failed to impress three of the judges.

The Judge’s Challenge last night really brought some heat in the competition as each of the remaining top 6 finalists performed their own rendition of a song chosen by rival wrote.

Big T sang “Locked Out Of Heaven” by Bruno Mars (song chosen by Dannii Minogue)

Jess & Matt sang “Stay” by Rihanna (song chosen by James Blunt)

Louise Adams sang “You Don’t Own Me” by Lesley Gore (song chosen by Chris Isaak)

Mahalia Simpson sang “Chasing Pavements” by Adele (song chosen by Guy Sebastian)

Cyrus Villanueva sang “Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door” by Bob Dylan (song chosen by Guy Sebastian)

Natalie Conway sang “Miracle” by Toca (song chosen by Dannii Minogue)

Meanwhile, Judge/mentor Chris Isaak lost his cool last night and launched a foul-mouthed rant at fellow mentor James Blunt, the Daily Mail reported.

It all began when Blunt criticized Big T’s performance. He failed to impress the judges with his rendition of Bruno Mars hit “Locked Out Of Heaven.”

“I think we were in a register in your voice that was a little bit uncomfortable and we have to be careful because it can easily become cruise ship with you unless we really find your soul. I think we went too far the wrong way, this night,” Blunt told Big T.

Frustrated by the comment on his contestant, Isaak told the “You’re Beautiful” singer: “James, I’ve been really open minded with your artists James and I’m going to look at you and file that one under chicken s***’.

Isaak is Big T’s mentor in the Under 25 Male group.

Fellow judge Dannii Minogue, on the other hand, apologized to Big T for choosing the song for him.

“I gave it to you because we’ve never caught you out. Nobody is a professional performer worth anything in this game if you haven’t made mistakes because that’s how you learn,” said Minogue.

Overall, all other contestants performed well and received positive comments from the judges.
