Rumor has it that Triple H is set to face Seth Rollins in the upcoming WrestleMania 33. Although nothing has been confirmed, fans hope that the match would finally happen after Triple H commented about the 20th Rumble anniversary.

Triple H tweeted that you cannot really know who would show up during the Royal Rumble 2017, which will occur in Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. Similarly, many big names have returned during the January pay-per-view event in recent years, which included Chris Jericho, AJ Styles, Edge and John Cena, the Christian Post reports.

Hence, many speculate that among the big return during the Rumble event would be the 47-year-old wrestler and he would finally face 30-year-old Seth Rollins. He made a surprise return this year when he stole WWE World Heavyweight title from the 31-year-old Roman Reigns in the final moments of the 2016 Royal Rumble match. However, Reigns redeemed himself when he beat Triple H at the WrestleMania 32.

That is why many fans expect that the next big surprise during the event would be a match between Rollins and Triple H. This was supposed to finally happen in WrestleMania 32 but due to the wrestlers’ injuries, it did not.

Nonetheless, some believe that Triple H is intentionally kept out of WWE programming while the company waits until their ratings drop.

Still, WWE fans will have to see it for themselves if such speculation is true. The tickets for the January 29, 2017 event will be released from October 14 at 11 AM ET (Eastern Time) or at 10 AM Central Time.

The 20th anniversary of the Royal Rumble will take place in Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas, the same location where the 1997 Royal Rumble was held. The tenth annual event of the competition drew in a crowd of 60,525, which remains the most number of attendees in Royal Rumble’s history.
