The Wonder Woman movie poster finally came out today! Gal Gadot quickly shared the material on her social media accounts.

Wonder Woman first appeared along side Ben Affleck’s Batman in Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice. Wonder Woman will be the first film to come out of the DC extended universe come June 2, 2017.

It has been a long time coming for the Wonder Woman origin story and finally it’s coming. Set to be released next year, the film will re-acquaint the viewers with Wonder Woman’s Amazonian origin.

The Wonder Woman movie poster itself talks about the values Wonder Woman carries. From power, grace and wisdom to wonder, Gal Gadot hopes that this first movie about her titular character role will inspire a role model in girls’ mind. It shows Gal Gadot’s body fitting the Wonder Woman costume wonderfully.

A few days earlier, Warner Bros. released the official film synopsis. The Wonder Woman film will show Diana, the princess of the Amazons, and her life in the sheltered island she called home. Her early life honed her to be an unconquerable warrior before a chance encounter with an American pilot who crashed in their enclave forces her to explore the world. She then takes her place in the war to end all wars and realizes her true destiny as Wonder Woman.

Featuring the first female heroine in the DC Universe in a stand alone film, the directorial spot will also have a female director. Though the film had some hiring issues for the spot last year. The director spot first belonged to Michelle MacLaren of Breaking Bad and Game of Thrones fame. However, MacLaren bowed out of the film in November. The director’s seat finally settled on Patty Jenkins who also directed Monster, Cinema Blend notes.

Before Gal Gadot was selected to play the Amazonian warrior, she played Gisele in the Fast and the Furious franchise. The Israeli-born actress is also expected to make a San Diego Comic Con appearance this week. Fans are also hoping that aside from the poster, Wonder Woman will also unveil an official trailer at the event.

As for now, fans will have to content themselves with the Wonder Woman movie poster.
