“Wonder Woman” Gal Gadot teased the upcoming DC super heroine movie with a photo.

Gadot, who will play the title character, shared on Twitter a photo of herself in a new “Wonder Woman” costume.

The picture showed Gadot in her Amazonian princess alter ego, clad in a dark cloak. She captioned the image: “Almost 75 years in the making … #WonderWoman is underway.”

Gadot’s photo shed light on rumors that although she will play the character in the upcoming “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” movie, actress Nicole Kidman reportedly has been chosen to play the role in the much-awaited solo film.

ComicBook cited a press release issued by Warner Bros. that stated Gadot will be featured in the movie in the role of Diana Prince, a.k.a “Wonder Woman.”

The press release also noted that movie will be filmed on location in the UK, France, and Italy.

Prior to the standalone film, “Wonder Woman” will make her big screen debut in “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice,” which set to hit theaters in March 2016.

Gal pivoted to a career in Hollywood after a two-year stint in the Israel Defense Forces, Maxim wrote. She had her breakout role in “The Fast and the Furious” franchise.

Meanwhile, CNET noted that photos of other “Wonder Woman” stars Chris Pine (“Star Trek”) and Saïd Taghmaoui (“American Hustle”) dressed in 1940s-period costumes made it online last week. However, the photos were later removed from Taghmaoui’s Instagram account.

Pine will portray Captain Steve Trevor, “Wonder Woman” love interest in the movie. Aside from Pine and Taghmaoui, the film also stars Robin Wright (“House of Cards” and “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo”), Danny Huston (“Clash of the Titans” and “X-Men Origins: Wolverine”), David Thewlis (“Harry Potter” series), Ewen Bremner (“Snowpiercer”), Elena Anaya (“The Skin I Live In”), and Lucy Davis (“Shaun of the Dead”).

It will be directed by Patty Jenkins.

Warner Bros. is set to release “Wonder Woman” in June 23, 2017.
