Updates about Wentworth Season 5 is keeping the show alive with each passing day. Latest spoilers of the Aussie show hinted a great change over. Did the show cast Bea Smith’s replacement? Who can be the potential candidate?
Favorite speculation making the rumor mills for Wentworth Season 5 places Joan “The Freak” Ferguson (Pamela Rabe) in the spotlight. This, in turn, can have strong links with the death of Smith (Danielle Cormack).
Last season, viewers were shocked to see their favorite Smith suffer from brutal stabbing by Ferguson. This event came as a big surprise to everyone. In fact, many are still hoping that Smith will come back. A similar kind of miracle happened in the case of Allie (Kate Jenkinson).
However, the show producers didn’t encourage such thoughts and declared firmly that Smith would not return to the Foxtel program.
“It is always an incredibly difficult decision to say farewell to a much-loved and revered character like Bea Smith. Which is why this storyline has had such a huge impact on us all and we are sure fans will feel the same. This decision was particularly hard as it meant also saying goodbye to Danielle Cormack,” as per executive producer Jo Porter.
Fans, who aren’t over the shock of Smith’s death, now wonder who should replace her. A few of them are pinning their guesses on Ferguson as she has proved her capabilities, brilliant planning, and smooth execution. Meanwhile, for others, she is too much to handle.
Another candidate is Kaz Proctor (Tammy MacIntosh). However, fans might not be pleased by the idea, given her ties with the “The Freak,” reports Christian Today.
Who will replace Bea Smith in Wentworth Season 5? Fans are in for a very long wait to learn this.
Wentworth season 5 airs in 2017.
Note: This post was corrected to say that Tammy MacIntosh portrays Kaz Proctor, not Tammy Hamilton.
