“Doctor Strange” premieres in theatres in November 2016. Excitement over the movie grows every time it’s mentioned in the news.
No doubt, the interest is also due to the fact that actor Benedict Cumberbatch plays the lead role. The sight of Cumberbatch in costume is a sign of good things to come. He is the perfect embodiment of the sorcerer supreme.
The actor stopped by JHU Comics in New York City last Sunday, Movieweb reported. Everyone was surprised and definitely pleased to see him in character. Director Scott Derrickson went with him to the store.

The actor along with the rest of the “Doctor Strange” production was in the Big Apple.
Fuse.TV noted that Cumberbatch might have needed a break from filming.
Over the weekend, onlookers also saw Cumberbatch in full costume running down a New York street. Co-star Chiwetel Ejiofor was also on the set of “Doctor Strange”, the Evening Standard reported.
Both actors previously worked together in “12 Years A Slave”. Ejiofor spoke about working with the “Sherlock” actor again.
“He’s a good friend of mine. So, it’s gonna be fun,” Ejiofor said.
He also revealed his excitement to work with Tilda Swinton.
“I haven’t worked with her, but I’m excited to work with her. She’s brilliant,” Ejiofor added.
Chiwetel Ejiofor plays Baron Mordo. His movie character contradicts its comic book persona. Tilda Swinton plays The Ancient one.
The New York shoot also revealed the villain on “Doctor Strange”. Actor Mads Mikkelsen plays the bad character who is rumoured to be Dormammu, Screen Crush reported.
The website revealed that Dormammu was a Faltine or a being from another dimension. Faltines subsist on energy.
However, Dormammu craved for matter. As a result, he was banned from his dimension.
Marvel has yet to confirm Mikkelsen’s character in the film, the website noted.
