The “Warcraft” movie is set to roll in theaters in a few days and it is expected to rake an estimated $25 million US ticket sales.

Before you go out and watch this epic fantasy movie, here are some big secrets of “Warcraft: The Beginning” movie that you should know.

1.David Bowie was first to saw the early cut of the movie.

Director Duncan Jones revealed to The Daily Beast that his father, David Bowie, was able to see the early cut of “Warcraft” movie before the legendary artist died.

“I showed him an early cut of this and showed him some of the effects shots. You know, for everyone else, he was one person. For me, he was my dad. And he was always interested in things I was working on. So I showed him what I was working on, and he was all excited for me and happy that I was doing the thing that I enjoyed doing in my life,” he said.

2.How did Jones make “Warcraft” characters alive on the big screen?

In an interview with The Guardian, the director revealed to make his characters look alive by staying away from prosthetics.  Jones said instead of creating CG characters, he cast human actors and dressed them in motion-capture suits that captured the actors’ movements digitally and then mapped them on to an animated avatar.

He added that they also built huge sets, including a castle, a woodland glade and a battlefield to make every scene realistic.

3.“Warcraft: The Beginning” actors Dominic Cooper and Toby Kebbell did not play “World of Warcraft” video game at all.

The two stars of “Warcraft” movie explained to Metro why they didn’t play the game version of their movie. Cooper and Kebbell said they want to try the game but they just don’t have time to do it.

“I haven’t played it, no. Not that the game isn’t awesome, I just know the effort it’s going to require. And unfortunately, I don’t have the time. You’ve got the time,’ Kebbell said as he looked towards Dominic.  “I’ve got the time. I’ve not played computers in a long time… I kept meaning to give it a go,” Cooper quipped.

4. Travis Fimmel revealed his favorite video game and it’s not “Warcraft.”

“I’m a big fan of Duck Hunt. My mates from home had Duck Hunt – my parents didn’t want me in the house much as a kid so we couldn’t have video games or anything. I grew up on a farm so I was outside. My Dad just made me dig holes, just to keep out his way,” he told Metro in a separate interview.

5. Sam Raimi was first announced to be the first director of “Warcraft movie.” However at Comic-Con International 2012, it was revealed that he would not be the one directing the movie. He was replaced by Jones, who has been overseeing the production of “Warcraft” movie since January 2013, CinemaBlend noted.

“Warcraft” movie has already premiered in some countries in Europe but for the rest of Europe, it will be seen on June 8. Fans in the US will be able to watch the movie in theaters beginning on June 10.
