The Walking Dead Season 7 spoilers continue to drop every now and then. The highly-anticipated series comeback will premiere this October.
As Season 6 left a major cliffhanger towards the end, fans are already wondering whom Negan killed at the end. But for other fans, they’re also curious on what will happen with Rick and Michonne who surprisingly gave a romantic twist last season.
In Season 6 Episode 10, Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and Michonne (Danai Gurira) got romantically closer. Both Lincoln and Gurira expected their romantic fate on the show. Speaking to People Magazine, the actors revealed how it happened on past seasons.
“It’s the most natural thing. I kept thinking, ‘Of course – it’s been right in front of me all the time.’ I think she’s probably been in love with Rich for a while,” Gurira revealed. Meanwhile, Lincoln added, “It felt like a grown-up relationship that was always meant to be.”
Co-executive producer Denise Huth also admitted that it was natural for “Richonne” to happen on the series. Huth argued that both characters have a deep level of friendship. As the two have known each other for quite a long time, there’s no doubt that they developed a sense of importance for each other.
