The Walking Dead Season 7 will hit the small screen in a few short months. But the premiere episode can’t come soon enough for most viewers of the hit AMC series. The previous season ended with a pretty big cliffhanger. After introducing the show’s new Big Bad, the screen just faded to black before Negan was able to choose someone to kill among the show’s main characters.
Fans have been dying to know what happens next since then. Some have also been guessing the identity of Negan’s victim for a while now. However, AMC has kept mum about the whole thing. Have the network’s attempts to keep everything a secret proven futile, though? Did the actor who played Negan himself let the cat out of the bag?
The show’s prominent cast members recently sat down for a press conference with IMDB together. The Walking Dead actors have always trodden with caution when it came to the media and spoilers. Actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who only joined the show as Negan this year, wasn’t as careful, though.
When the reporter asked whom did the show’s newest villain chose to kill, Morgan didn’t even play coy. He immediately responded with a clue. “No one sitting here,” he said. On stage with the actor that night were actors Andrew Lincoln, Steven Yeun and Norman Reedus. Lincoln plays Rick, Yeun plays Glen, and Reedus plays Daryl.
Had Morgan been telling the truth this whole time? Does this mean Rick, Glenn and Darryl will really not survive through the next year? No word as of yet to confirm this.
AMC did threaten to sue a couple of online groups. These groups merely discuss fan theories and predictions for the upcoming season. One group, in particular, the Spoiling Dead Fans, even got a cease and desist order from the network. Whom will Negan choose as his first onscreen kill? Fans won’t know for sure until the show returns to the small screen.
The Walking Dead Season 7 will premiere on AMC this October.
