Former “The Vampire Diaries” star Nina Dobrev and boyfriend Austin Stowell called it quits after seven months of being together.
E News cited a source saying Dobrev “called it off.”
“It started to get hard with both their schedules. Austin was filming a lot and in the past month, they barely saw each other. They remain on good terms,” the insider said.
People magazine noted that Dobrev was earlier spotted spending time without Stowell both at the Super Bowl and on Valentine’s Day.
“Sunday Funday #HappyGALentinesDay,” she wrote on Instagram along with a photo of herself with close friends.
She also spent an all-girls Hawaii vacation recently.
Now, Dobrev is back in singlehood. Soon after news broke out, however, there have been reports that the 27-year-old actress has already moved on and was recently spotted with another hottie – “Gossip Girl” alum Chase Crawford.
According to E News, the two were spotted arriving at the Villa Lounge bar in West Hollywood Tuesday night. Later, they were seen walking together to the Bootsy Bellows nightclub. The two have hung out together before but an E News source said the two are just friends.
Meanwhile, speculations about Dobrev’s return to “The Vampire Diaries” continues despite the actress earlier statement that she will not be coming back.
TVD producer Caroline Dries also hinted about a possible reunion between Ian Somerhalder and Dobrev, who played the role of Elena Gilbert, the love interest of the actor’s character – Damon Salvatore.
Although Dries admitted that Dobrev would not be returning anytime soon, she did leave open the possibility of the actress making a cameo as Elena in the series finale.
“No. I would say that, if The CW called today and was like, ‘By the way, Season 7 is the last season,’ then I think we would scramble to make sure that she was in the finale. But as of right now, we’re acting like the show will go on, so no,” she said.
