UFC 193 battle came as a huge blow to Ronda Rousey, not just to her confidence but also to her physical state of being. After the 28-year-old former Bantamweight Champion, Rousey, was dethroned as the Ultimate Fighting Champion by 32-year-old Holly Holm in a brutal clash, things haven’t been the same with Rousey ever-since.

According to a Daily Mail Uk report, Holly left Rousey unconscious and later had to be hospitalized after she knocked Rousey out in the second round with a powerful kick on the head. Speaking for the first time after her defeat to Holm, she admitted to being “really f***ing sad.”

She graced this month’s cover of ESPN magazine, in which she admitted that she was far from healed, revealing, “It might be three to six months before I can eat an apple, let alone take an impact.”

The Daily Mail quoted, “While she looks healthy and toned in a pink sports bra and shorts on the cover, and appeared unbruised as she left the Santa Monica center wearing a green hooded sweatshirt, distressed jeans, and glasses, Ronda still has stitches in her lip and a few loose front teeth from the bloody fight.”

ESPN quoted Rousey as saying, “Maybe I can’t do it all before my prime, before my body is done. But f*** it, maybe I can.”

All was not lost in that fight. She certainly didn’t lose her optimism. She remained positive about her career in the next sixth months and eventually fight to take back her crown.

As per earlier reports, there could be a possibility that Ronda Rousey would just accept the fight against current title-holder Holly Holm to take back her crown.

Even UFC President Dana White said, “If we didn’t make the Holm/Rousey rematch, me and [UFC chairman] Lorenzo [Fertitta] would have to lose our promoter’s license. That’s next.”
