Brazilian Rafael Natal and Australian Rob Whittaker have now been included in the April’s UFC 197 event. The middleweight matchup is the latest addition to the main event.

As per the MMA Junkie reports, both fighters have verbally agreed to play a role in the event and bout agreements have been distributed. The UFC officials are expected to make an announcement shortly.

Whittaker is perceived as one of Australia’s most exciting fight prospects and has been pitched for one of the biggest cards in the UFC 2016 calendar.

The Daily Telegraph quotes, “Apart from being the biggest fight of his own career, Whittaker’s bout in the world’s fight capital will also double as the hyped return of American megastar Jon Jones — who headlines with a title fight against reigning light heavyweight champ Daniel Cormier.”

Whittaker is currently ranked No. 12 in the MMA rankings.

UFC had earlier revealed its UFC 197 Championship fight cards. The Championship match ups  feature light heavyweight bout —Daniel Cormier vs. Jon Jones and flyweight bout —Demetrious Johnson vs. Henry Cejudo. UFC 197 UFC 197 will take place on April 23 at Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden Arena.

Natal has been on a terrific run too winning the all the bouts in his last four outings. He registered victories over Kevin Casey, Uriah Hall, Tom Watson and Chris Camozzi. Natal has been competing in the UFC for the last six years since 2008. He is, right now, on the best run of his Octagon Stretch.

Whittaker, too, is going through a wonderful winning streak. He has thumped Uriah Hall, Brad Tavares, Clint Hester and Mike Rhodes to win his last four bouts.
