Dan Fogelman’s This is Us is creating ripples among the fans. This one-episode-old series has pulled in notable gains within a short period of time. The spoilers for This is Us episode 2 dropped quite a big bombshell, confirming that the show will go retro to unfold more drama.
How? Yes, you guessed it right! Episode 2 is going to feature time travel to 1980’s where the three main characters will be seen exploring their past stories.
This is Us has also drawn 13.5 million viewers in three days which the biggest Live +3 jump, for any network premiere since the dawn of Fox’s Empire in January 2015. This is Us is a sweet family drama that delves into the lives of people who not only share the same birthday, but also mysteriously connected to each other.
As their paths will cross and their life stories intertwine in curious ways, the show will disclose that some of these characters share much more than anyone would expect. This is Us features Kate (Chrissy Metz), Kevin (Justin Hartley) and Randall (Sterling K. Brown). While Kate and Kevin are biological siblings, Randall was adopted by their parents Jack (Milo Ventimiglia) and Rebecca (Mandy Moore) after one of their triplets was stillborn.
This is Us episode 2 will show these three 36-year-old siblings traveling back to 80’s era. With the story going back in 1980, we will see a much younger versions of them. The siblings will learn how Jack and Rebecca managed to raise a trio of 8-year-old, according to the USA Today.

Discussing the show’s time-travel-moves, actor Moore told: “You’ll see how these relationships and bonds form.” She added This is Us episode 2 will also highlight on Jack and Rebecca’s somehow fractured relationship (in past). Slowly the couple has started distancing themselves from each other in the process of raising three kids of the same age but with very different needs. We all know, raising triplets is like being able to understand three different things told to you by three different children at the same time.
How will their kids from the future (current time) respond to the situation? Will they try to help their parents to salvage their marriage? Or they will speak to their younger versions to tackle the brewing tension between their parents.
