“The Bachelor” 2016 Ben Higgins and winner Lauren Bushnell are set to tie the knot this summer on TV.

There have been rumours that the two are planning to get married in June and that it will be on TV. Us Weekly quoted a source saying that the couple will get married “very soon, probably this summer” and that “it would be an ABC special.” Although the couple has not confirmed if they will have a wedding on TV, Higgins has hinted that will be a good idea.

“We’re open to it. I think it’d be fun,” “The Bachelor” star has told Extra. When asked by ABC News if they will get married on TV or have a private wedding, he replied, “That is a good question, one that we haven’t discussed fully yet. We want a wedding fairly quickly. But we also want to try and take things as normal as possible for now. We are open to anything I think.”

Another insider told Entertainment Tonight that “They are both so in love with each other and will definitely be one of the few couples to make it from the show.”

Hollywood Take noted that if the couple do get tie the knot on TV, they will definitely get an elaborate wedding plan and ABC would be paying for all of the details of the wedding.

Ben Higgins earlier told People magazine that he wants to have a big reception. “I want a huge reception. How often in life do all your friends and family gather in one room to celebrate something? Why get married tomorrow if we can plan a big ass party?” said Higgins.

Higgins and Bushnell got engaged on the finale of “The Bachelor.” She has since moved to Denver from Portland to be with her fiancé.

Amidst wedding speculations, there were also rumours that the couple is heading to splitville. It was earlier reported that Bushnell is allegedly not happy with Higgins anymore and the reason for the falling apart is “The Bachelorette” 2016 star JoJo Fletcher. Bushnell is reportedly jealous of Fletcher because Higgins is showing signs that he is still in love with “The Bachelor” 2016 runner-up.
