We have heard from Paramount about a new Terminator trilogy which was to start with the “Terminator Genisys” followed by a sequel. But it all comes down to numbers, and with “Terminator Genisys” not raking in the dough, the fate of its sequel, “Terminator 2” has now hit choppy waters.

A tweet by Exhibitor Relations, reveals that the “Terminator Genisys” sequel has indeed lost out on its release. At the moment. there is no word when will the date be decided upon in the near future. According to report on Collider, as far as the third installment in the trilogy is concerned the date still appears to be set at June 29, 2018, since nothing has been heard about that yet.

The site noted that it was back in October last year that Dana Goldberg, Skydance Media Chief Creative Officer, revealed that the sequel to “Terminator Genisys” wasn’t “on hold, so much as re-adjusting.” This gave fans hope that the studio may in fact go ahead with its plan to carry on with the second installment sometime in the future. However, it all seems uncertain with the numbers that the first movie in the trilogy has acquired.

As many movie lovers may be aware, Paramount has booked the May 19, 2017 slot for the “Baywatch” movie that has currently become the talk of the town. The star-cast includes Dwayne Johnson, Zac Efron, Alexandra Daddario, model Kelly Rohrbach and Ilfenesh Hadera. With stars like these onboard and a movie variant of a world-wide hit series “Baywatch,” it comes as no surprise that its creating headlines.

Word on the streets is that Bollywood super-star and Quantico’s lead Priyanka Chopra is in talks with the production for becoming a part of the project. If that does materialize then fans may get to see Chopra playing the villain in the movie.
