The Teen Wolf cast and their fans celebrated the show’s fifth-year anniversary. The supernatural-themed show has gone through a lot of changes since it first aired on MTV on June 5, 2011. Fans saw old favorites leave and new characters making their entry in Beacon Hills.

Although Teen Wolf Season 6 is currently in the midst of filming, Tyler Posey, Colton Haynes, Melissa Ponzio and the other cast members took the time to share their thoughts on Twitter using the hashtag #5YearsOfTeenWolf.

As fans await the return of Scott McCall and his pack, here are some of the confirmed Teen Wolf spoilers for Season 6!

Ghost story theme in play

Scott, Stiles, Lydia and the rest of the gang are returning to Beacon Hills High for the second semester of senior year. Everyone will be feeling a bit emotional and anxious as they inch closer to graduation and thought of imminently parting ways almost becomes a reality.

But their last semester in high school will not go without trouble. Teen Wolf executive producer Jeff Davis revealed that the sixth season will be a “ghost story.” “If season 5B was a monster movie, which is what we went for, season 6 is a bit of a ghost story,” Davis told Hollywood Life.

Actress Holland Roden gave a sneak peek of how creepy Season 6 will be through a photo she shared on Instagram.

Of monsters and men

Scott’s pack is not just facing one big bad this season. To cap off the last few days of senior year, the gang will be dealing with at least two villains.

“I have this theory in writing that there are always two villains. The [Nazi soldier is] definitely not the only villain this season,” Davis teased. Fans may recall that the zombie-like Nazi soldier first appeared in Teen Wolf Season 5. “He will be lurking about Season 6 and causing a lot of trouble. It may actually allow us to explore another episode in WWII,” Davis told TV Guide.

The other “worrisome” threat is based on a “new mythology.” This “new mythology” is said to reinvent the show, and is a “pretty big one” and “technically very difficult.”

Mystery characters return to Beacon Hills

Davis confirmed that there will be one or two returning characters in Teen Wolf Season 6. However, he was tight-lipped on who these characters might be, Teen Wolf News reported.

Stydia or Stalia?

Although reports suggest that it may not be certain if Dylan O’Brien will still be able to recover in time to film Teen Wolf Season 6, Jeff Davis has already cooked up an interesting story for Stiles, Lydia, and Malia.
