Will fans have to wait a little longer for the premiere of “Teen Wolf” Season 6? The show’s star Dylan O’Brien was earlier involved in an accident while on the set of “Maze Runner: The Death Cure.” Will both projects be delayed because of the actor’s injuries? Will Teen Wolf Season 6 really come later than scheduled?

According to Movie Pilot, delays are to be expected now since his condition proved  “more serious” than initially thought. “His injuries are very serious, and he needs more time to recover,” the actor’s publicist Jennifer Allen said.

The actor was reportedly hit by a moving vehicle in an accident while finishing up a stunt for the next “Maze Runner” movie. He suffered a concussion, facial fractures, and lacerations. Production for the movie was earlier halted because of what happened. Fox later reassured fans that filming will resume on May 9. But O’Brien might not be well enough to begin working on set again anytime soon. The film has been put on hold “indefinitely” until the actor makes a full recovery.

One of O’Brien’s “Maze Runner” co-stars, however, said the actor is trying his best to recover soon. “I would imagine many who witnessed thought that was it,” Giancarlo Esposito told Entertainment Weekly. “[But] he’s a survivor…He’s one tough cookie.”

Meanwhile, shooting for the next season of “Teen Wolf” has yet to begin. Will O’Brien recover in time? Or, will Teen Wolf Season 6 just go on without his character Stiles? Stay tuned for updates.

“Maze Runner: The Death Cure” was earlier set for a February 17, 2017 release. Meanwhile, a premiere date for Season 6 has yet to be confirmed for “Teen Wolf.” However, past seasons have all premiered in June. It remains to be seen if Season 6 will also premiere on that month.
