Until now, there’s no announcement yet for the premiere date of “Teen Wolf” Season 6. Several reports mentioned that Dylan O’Brien caused the delay. Likewise, not much is known on how the season will be for Beacon Hills. However, it seems Scott McCall won’t get a love interest this season after Arden Cho, who plays Kira, announced her exit.
Fans last saw Scott and Kira in the desert at the end of Season 5. The pack’s leader left Kira to repay her debt to the Skinwalkers. And although Arden Cho hoped for an “epic ending,” she hinted a possibility for her to return. Thus, speculations arose on who could likely be Scott’s new love interest on the show.
On the show, Scott always had a love interest in every adventure. But this time, you’d get to see the Alpha without any girlfriend. How do you think would that bring change to his character?
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Executive Producer Jeff Davis gave a justification on why Scott would remain single. “We thought this might be a season where we don’t see that side and we see him struggling a little bit,” Davis admitted. He added that Scott had two great romances with Allison and Kira. And it would be interesting to see him graduate, be with friends while they battle out against supernatural entities.
When Tyler Posey learned of how his character won’t be in a relationship this season, he believes that it’s a phase that everybody experiences. The actor revealed that both he and Scott share the same experience these days.
“This is the first two years I’m really single, so I relate to it with Scott. And I thought it was something that every person has to go through in their life — grow on their own and really figure out who they are. That’s kind of what’s going on with Scott,” Posey added.
Meanwhile, fans are expecting to see the first “Teen Wolf” Season 6 trailer at San Diego Comic-Con 2016. EP Davis also teased that fans can look forward to meet a new member of the cast who will attend SDCC.
