Katy Perry’s Twitter account has been hacked and it sent out a “love message” to her rumored rival Taylor Swift.
The 89 million Twitter followers of Perry have read some unexpected tweets from the pop star after her Twitter account was hacked recently. The tweets include some racist messages before sending a link to an unreleased song, “Witness,” on SoundCloud, People magazine wrote.
One of the messages was also a shout-out to Swift. “Miss u baby @taylorswift13,” the tweet said. The hacked tweets have been deleted from Perry’s account and the “Roar” singer has yet to issue a statement regarding the incident.
Perry and Swift were friends between 2009 and 2011. However, there has been a fallout in their relationship and the two singers haven’t seen together in public for years. When did the alleged “bad blood” between the two artists start?
According to DigitalSpy, the alleged hostility between the two all started when Taylor revealed in a Rolling Stone interview in 2014 that “Bad Blood” depicts a conflict with a well-known female artist. She even described their relationship as “straight-up enemies.” Swift did not name the female artist during the interview.
“For years, I was never sure if we were friends or not. She would come up to me at awards shows and say something and walk away, and I would think, ‘Are we friends, or did she just give me the harshest insult of my life?'” she said. Taylor, however, stressed that the fallout did not concern “a guy” and said: “She did something so horrible. I was like, ‘Oh, we’re just straight-up enemies’. And it wasn’t even about a guy! It had to do with business.”
The rumored feud has gone deeper when Katy Perry reacted on Swift and Nicki Minaj feud last year.
The fallout between Swift and Minaj all began when the rapper made a comment that her “Anaconda” promo was not nominated at the MTV VMA Best Video category because she is not “white” or “very slim”. Swift thought at the time that Minaj’s rant was directed at her. Minaj clarified at the time that her tweets had “nothing” to do with Swift.
Katy Perry got involved when she tweeted: “Finding it ironic to parade the pit women against other women argument about as one unmeasurably capitalizes on the take down of a woman…” Many believed that Perry’s post accused Swift of being hypocritical since “Bad Blood’” was seemingly written about the fallout of her friendship with Perry.
