Beyonce surprised fans and dropped her new song, “Formation,” ahead of her appearance in Super Bowl 50.

The song was released along with a music video that brings back the time of the Hurricane Katrina devastation and the black pride. Bey can be heard singing, “I like my negro nose with Jackson 5 nostrils,” in the video.

The music video also featured a cameo by Beyoncé’s daughter, Blue Ivy.

Beyoncé made the announcement of her new song simultaneously on her Instagram and official website. The song and video are also streaming on music service Tidal, which is owned by her husband, Jay-Z.  The song can also be downloaded for free on Tidal, New York Times reported.

“Formation” is Beyoncé’s first major release since the surprise drop of her self-titled album in December 2013.

This makes many to speculate that the “Run The World” singer will also drop a new album on her Super Bowl 50 halftime performance.

Bustle noted that this scenario is possible since it is not like Beyonce has never dropped a surprise album in the past.

So, tune in at Sunday’s Super Bowl at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California where Bey is set to appear on halftime show along with Coldplay and Bruno Mars.

Beyonce headlined the Super Bowl halftime show in 2013 in New Orleans. At the end of the year, she dropped the album “Beyonce” unannounced on iTunes; it went platinum in days, Fox News reported.

Meanwhile, Bruno Mars already confirmed his appearance on his Instagram account.
