While the SummerSlam 2016 Brock Lesnar versus Randy Orton match is much awaited, the possibility of the same being cancelled is increasing gradually.
The speculations came following the failure of the UFC 200 drug test on Lesnar. Consequently, many wrestlers have called for banning him from other matches of the season. Wrestler Mark Hunt spoke to The MMA Hour on Tuesday, where he targeted all cheaters including Lesnar.
“These guys are cheating and they should be in court for it,” Hunt said. “(They should) lose all of their money if they’re cheating, because if I die in there, who’s going to look after my family.”
Australia Network News believes that if law agencies agree with what Hunt has to say about the drug test failures, especially Lesnar’s, the SummerSlam 2016 match between The Viper and Lesnar is likely to be cancelled.
Lesnar, 39, is already facing a two-year ban from the Octagon following his failed second test the same day he won UFC 200. Hunt, whom he defeated at the Las Vegas event in early July, has called for US$2.5 million (AU$3.3 million) to be paid to compensate for his deeds.
The Viper, who has been found violating WWE’s Wellness Policy twice, said that he had known Lesnar for 15 years and he was aware that if the match happens, the latter would suplex him a number of times. “Well, it only takes one RKO to get to Viperville. No enhancement needed,” Orton added referring to his initials.
UFC released a statement regarding this matter, revealing that its Anti-Doping Policy undergoes a complete review before imposing any charges on a wrestler. “It is important to note that under the UFC Anti-Doping Policy, there is a full fair legal review process that is afforded to all athletes before any sanctions are imposed,” it read.
The 39-year-old was tested eight times in total in July. He passed five of them, failing two while one still remained pending.
