The anticipation for the “Suicide Squad” movie has further intensified after early reviews of the film revealed it is “insane,” “amazing,” and “mind-blowing.”
According to We Got This Covered, a group of people were privileged to attend an early test screening of “Suicide Squad” and their reviews were mostly positive. Those in attendance shared their experiences on social media and some called the DC movie “insane,” “amazing,” and “mind-blowing,” the site noted. There are those who called director David Ayer a genius, We Got This Covered added.
One Reddit User named soyodu revealed that there was an emotional scene in the movie, but said it did not work for him. Soyodu added that there were others who attended the screening who were also not happy about it too. Soyodu, however, did not mention who among the characters were involved in the emotional scene.

Saw an early screening of Suicide Squad. It blew my mind. Best DC movie I've ever seen!

“This is an unfinished cut. There was lots that I really liked, good action, pacing (for the most part). But as I’ve said there were 2 characters who had a decent sized role in the plot/story that did not connect with me. I could care less about them. They tried for an emotional scene and yea … didn’t work. But yes, walking out, I’ve heard a few people raving about it, and a few just good/pretty good,” he wrote.
Batman News earlier reported that Batman will have an interaction with Harley Quinn and Deadshot and the Cape Crusader’s scene with Deadshot is “an emotional one.” The website wrote: “He [Batman] has a scene with Will Smith’s Deadshot, and without getting too specific, it’s sure to be an emotional one! There’s one more scene involving Batman and Deadshot in the form of a flashback.”
Another Reddit user named Malachim also gave his review of “Suicide Squad.” The Reddit user wrote: “You will like every single member of the Squad, with Harley (obviously) stealing the show. She’s a star and everyone will love her. This is the type of movie that demands a sequel. I’m sure critics will find ways to hate it (it’s basically a gritty action movie with comic book characters and a Hot Topic aesthetic, which honestly might turn critics off), but DC fans will like it. The BIG thing is that the movie literally saves DCEU Batman. This Batman is BTAS personified.”
Apparently, there was another test screening held in California recently.
Aside from Smith, “Suicide Squad” also stars Jared Leto as The Joker, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flagg, Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang, Cara Delevingne as Enchantress, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Karen Fukuhara as Katana, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as Killer Croc, Jay Hernandez as El Diablo, Adam Beach as Slipknot, and Viola Davis as Amanda Waller. The movie will hit theaters on August 5.
