Stranger Things Season 2 is expected to be packed with more suspense, and Barb’s fate might finally be revealed in the second installment of the hit Neflix series.

The show creators teased that there is one death in Season 1 that is not so conclusive afterall. Unfortunately, it is not fan favorite and Nancy’s BFF Barb.

Matt Duffer hinted that fans may see more of villain Dr. Martin Brenner should Stranger Things be renewed for Season 2.

The head of Hawkins Laboratory was attacked by the Upside Down monster in Season 1. However, it is unclear if he really died. This leaves the possibility of the character appearing in Season 2.

“I would say that if we were going to kill Brenner, as an audience member watching the show, if that was his death, that would be very unsatisfying to me – when the monster jumps on him and we cut away. He would deserve much more than that as an ending. So yes, there’s a possibility of seeing him again,” Matt Duffer revealed to IGN.

As for Barb, Duffer has assured that there will be some justice for the character in Stranger Things Season 2.

Barb, played by Shannon Purser, has been the subject of several memes on social media since she was killed in Stranger Things. Fans are now clamoring for more screen time for Barb. Unfortunately, the Duffer brothers made it clear that the grandma glasses-and mom jeans-wearing character is unlikely to return in Season 2.

“Barb will not be forgotten. We’ll make sure there’s some justice for Barb. People get very frustrated, understandably, that the town doesn’t seem to be really dealing with Barb. That stuff is all happening. We’re just not spending any screen time on it,” said Duffer.

Stranger Things Season 2 hasn’t been officially confirmed but considering the response to it and Netflix’s track record for renewing all of its live-action original shows for a second season, we’ll almost definitely see Eleven and the gang again.

Meanwhile, Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown is set to appear at AsiaPOP Comicon Manila 2016. The three-day event will kick off on August 26 at Manila’s SMX Convention Center. Brown is expected to reprise her role as Eleven in Stranger Things Season 2.
