Will Rick, Daryl and the rest of their crew be forced to travel to the galaxy far, far away to escape the walkers? Should fans start expecting a “Star Wars” and “Walking Dead” crossover to happen soon?

According to Hollywood Life, this rumour is somewhat true. The cast of the hit AMC show teamed up for a “hilarious” spoof of “Star Wars.” The skit began with Norman Reedus and Andrew Lincoln yearning to do something “lighter” than “Walking Dead.” That got them thinking of “Star Wars.” Reedus, Lincoln and the rest of the cast did this sketch for Red Nose Day, which aims to raise money for sick and needy kids around the world.

Meanwhile, fans of “The Walking Dead” might have a lot to look forward to next season. Reedus himself assures viewers that the show’s next installment will be mind blowing. “I think probably the planet is going to explode. That’s my feeling. It’s so good,” the actor told Entertainment Weekly. “Every time we go on a promotional tour talking about what’s going to come, we all say ‘Oh my God, it’s amazing. I can’t wait for you to see it.’ But it continually surprises me how this show grows and is put together and the execution of it — no pun intended. It blows my mind.”

“The Walking Dead” wrapped up its sixth season last month with quite the cliffhanger. However, the actor insists the series still has more in store for fans. “It just continually reaches a new plateau every single time, and this is the highest plateau we’ve ever been. So just wait,” Reedus said. “It’s worth the wait, trust me.”

Season 7 of “The Walking Dead” will premiere in October on AMC. In the meantime, you can check out the show’s cast as they take on “Star Wars” below.
