Fans of the franchise are certainly a curious lot. Hence, they would welcome any chance to pick up a spoiler or two about Star Wars 8. The producers closely guard the secrecy surrounding the sequel. Yet Carrie Fishers does not seem fazed by it all. Perhaps she took a cue from fellow actor Mark Hamill who seemed frustrated by the whole deal. Then again, who could possible tell the princess what she can and cannot do?
Carrie Fisher, best known for her role in the original trilogy as Princess Leia, attended a fan event in London. Her response to one question let out a major spoiler for the sequel that is currently under production. As per the actress, they are filming a funeral in honor of Han Solo. Sources hinted earlier at a possible memorial for the space smuggler. Fisher’s revelation certainly confirms the rumor.
Mail Online recalled the death of Han Solo played by Harrison Ford at the hands of their son Kylo Ren aka Ben. Despite the shocking twist to the movie, Fisher revealed its greater significance to the entire story.
“We had a very volatile relationship, which leads to space divorce as you know. Or space estrangement, at least. We had a child who turned out to be Hitler, and you’d feel bad too if your son had done all that,” Fisher revealed. The love-hate relationship between Han Solo and Princess Leia offered some of the best moments throughout the trilogy.
