Actress Daisy Ridley revealed an interesting detail about “Star Wars 8” on the red carpet.

Her character, Rey, reportedly spends a lot of time with Luke Skywalker on the set. In an interview with MTV, Ridley raved about working with Mark Hamill.

Movie Web posted a transcript of Ridley’s MTV interview. She also spoke of their location shots at Skellig.

“Me and Mark (Hamill) have been rehearsing a lot, and it’s really amazing. When we went back to Skellig to do that opening of 8, it was so crazy doing that same scene with a different crew of people. But he’s amazing to rehearse with and I’m very excited to do the rest of the stuff. It’s such a good story, seriously. Luke is so cool in this one, really,” she said.

Hamill appeared as Luke Skywalker in the original trilogy. The actor reprised his role for “Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens”. However, Screenrant noted his lack of lines in that movie.

Hence, the website revealed its excitement about how Skywalker fits into “Star Wars 8”. It also noted that fans are likely to find out what happened to him since “Return of the Jedi”.

Based on Ridley’s words, Screenrant surmised a possible plot for “Star Wars 8”. The website deduced the sequel would take off where “The Force Awakens” ended or soon after it. Screenrant revealed that this is a change from the original pace of the franchise.

Hence, it is likely that an initial exchange between Rey and Luke Skywalker would take place, Screenrant presumed. The website also recalled that Skywalker appeared only at the end of “Star Wars 7”.
