“Star Wars 8” actor John Boyega will star in “Pacific Rim 2” and rumor has it that his busy schedule might cause a delay in the filming of Episode VII.
Boyega is chosen to play the lead role, notes Gizmodo. The character is yet to be revealed but the website assumed that he will portray the son of Stacker Pentecost.
“I am very proud and happy to welcome John into a fantastic sandbox,” director Guillermo Del Torro exclaimed. “The ‘Pacific Rim’ universe will be reinforced with him as a leading man as it continues to be a multicultural, multi-layered world,” he added.
If Boyega will lead on the said film, how would he manage to work on “Star Wars 8”? Fans need not worry, though, because the production of the “Pacific rim” sequel will not be on until later this year.
Additionally “Star Wars 8” is still slated to be out on Dec. 15, 2016. However, speculations regarding the plot continue to swirl on the Internet.
“Finn and Rey – they’re just friends. Finn is a Stormtrooper, so he doesn’t really know what’s going on. So the romance thing is something that’s going to be interesting in the next installment,” he said. “It’s not going to go the way you think it’s going to go.”
Meanwhile, the latest report allegedly revealed that Luke Skywalker has been hiding out of remorse. According to Movie Pilot, he was disappointed at himself because he could not do anything about Ben Solo becoming the evil Kylo Ren.
On the other hand, the list of “Star Wars 8” titles are out on the web. The headline could be “Fall of the Resistance”, “Echoes of the Dark Side”, or “The Fallen Knights.”
