When “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” hit the big screen last year, it goes without saying that tie-in merchandise and even games of it were to be expected. From lightsabers to action figures, Star Wars merchandise were simply at the top of every store’s shelves even to this day. It seems that LEGO is now set to take a piece of the action as the company behind it will see to it that we have a new game about the movie, in colorful plastic bricks.

TT Games and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, the companies responsible for the slew of LEGO games that you’ve seen in the past decade, are once again releasing a LEGO Star Wars game this year, specifically on June 28, 2016. So, if you’re finding yourself playing “LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga” over and over again on your mobile devices or your gaming console and you need a clean break, the time draws near.

“LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens” will be available on Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Nintendo Wii U and Nintendo 3DS. There will also a deluxe edition set of the title that comes with an exclusive Finn mini figure, as well as access to the game’s season pass for both the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One. The PlayStation 3 and the PlayStation 4 editions of the game will also provide exclusive DLC, the Droid Character Pack, and the Phantom Limb Level Pack.

Not only that, but the Star Wars game will also get more content that tells the story about what happened between “Return of the Jedi” and “The Force Awakens.” It’s still unclear as to what exactly it says about the story, but it’s easily an essential for every fan of the franchise. Everything will be canon to the game, and it’s quite refreshing to see a LEGO game becoming the source for new details about the Star Wars universe.
