Spiderman Homecoming movie spoilers seemed to tease that fans will see Peter Parker in his high school years. As Marvel brought in young Tom Holland to play the iconic role, rumours swirled in as to how it will be different from past Spiderman films. Anthony Russo, on the other hand, thinks that the upcoming film will likely be the best ever.
Original Spider-man cast Tobey Maguire first donned the Spidey suit back in 2002. After three films and crazy villains, Peter Parker got his happy ending with Mary Jane Watson. But in 2010, The Amazing Spiderman came along with Andrew Garfield’s Peter Parker version. There’s no MJ but rather Peter fell in love with Gwen Stacey, played by his then girlfriend Emma Stone. Things seemed not so good for Garfield as reports mentioned that Sony eventually fired him.
Following Maguire and Garfield, news broke that Marvel got a new Spiderman. He made his debut on Captain America: Civil War and fans saw a young and reckless Peter Parker. Tom Holland surely had a comedic and naive side which helped him get the attention of Tony Stark. Well, it seems Stark will likely be the mentor of the wall-crawling superhero. Moreover, his gadgets and outfit might have undergone some major tech updates by Mr. Stark. Fans wonder if Iron Man will join Spiderman‘s battles in Spiderman Homecoming too.
Amidst rumors and speculations, Anthony Russo said that they have high expectations for the upcoming film.
“I think the tone and the direction that he’s heading in that movie are fantastic. I think it has the potential to be the best Spider-Man yet, and I know that’s saying a lot because perhaps my favorite comic book movie of all time is Raimi’s Spider-Man 2,” Russo told Comicbook.com.
“He’s crazy talented, the script is amazing, and we have really high expectations for the movie,” he further added.
