Tom Holland is the new Spider-Man. The young British actor is set to play Peter Parker in Marvel’s next couple of  movies. But is he really the only one? Is it possible for the Marvel cinematic universe to have more than one version of Spider-Man?

Movie Pilot seems to think so. The movie blog argues that, with “Doctor Strange” coming along, the “Spider-Man” reboot could include more than one version of Spider-Man. There have been two other actors to play Spider-Man on screen in the last two decades. Tobey Maguire played Peter Parker from 2002-2007. Andrew Garfield, on the other hand, became Spider-Man from 2012-2014. With “Doctor Strange” coming into the picture, could a reunion of sorts be possible for these actors? Would the upcoming “Spider-Man” really explore more than one dimension?  Could Holland, Maguire and Garfield be Peter Parker all at once in the same movie? Of course, this is just mere speculation as of writing.

Meanwhile, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige recently told Collider what the upcoming “Spider-Man” reboot might be about. “If it’s safe to assume anything, it’s safe to assume that everybody knows how Spider-Man became Spider-Man and what that backstory was. We’ve seen it a number of times now…[and there] are events that made Peter who he was. And we’ll certainly allude to those events,” Feige said. “But we’re much more focused on his future and how he continues to grow and have a steep learning curve after…the adventure he had in Civil War on how to be his own hero.”

So will Tom Holland really meet Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield in the “Spider-Man” reboot? No word as of yet to confirm this. The “Spider-Man” reboot is set to hit theatres on July 7, 2017. You can meanwhile catch Holland’s version of Spider-Man in “Captain America: Civil War” this coming May.
