Those who grew up listening to hits like “Wannabe” and “As Long As You Love Me” will be excited as news about Spice Girls and Backstreet Boys 2016 joint tour sparks again on the Internet.

90’s most popular girl group Spice Girls will be celebrating their 20th anniversary this year. Thus, the rumors about their possible reunion began. The extrovert Melanie B., aka Scary Spice reveals her strong desire for a reunion.

“I think it’s our 20th year next year so we’re going to be doing something at some point with hopefully all of us,” she said on The Metro, via Telegraph.

She also said on the TV special “Alan Carr’s New Year’s Spectacular,” that it must be essential. “To be serious, it is our twentieth anniversary this year and it would be rude not to celebrate,” quotes E!

But we could just hope for it to happen in reality, because Victoria Beckham or Posh Spice could not participate. She had been reportedly busy with her career in the high fashion world. And sadly, Melanie C., also known as Sporty Spice, allegedly said that she will not be touring without Victoria.

“Nothing’s happening at the moment,” Baby Spice Emma Bunton previously said on E! as well. “If anything happens and it’s concrete, and we decide on something, I will let you know.”

So, if a Spice Girls reunion seems impossible, how could their rumored joint tour with Backstreet Boys ever be?

Nick Carter neither confirm nor deny the news, but he said that there were talks about it.

“There were talks in the past about it and we had done the New Kids On The Block and Backstreet Boys tour in the past,” as he told E! News correspondent Sibley Scoles.

“I think this would be the last hurrah—the two big groups from the late ‘90s. Maybe do a world tour, stadiums, stuff like that and do a package together.”

The possibility is still there. Let’s just wait for further updates.
