Sony is expected to launch the Xperia X Performance and Xperia XA in Canada before they hit the US market. Last week, the Japanese multinational conglomerate announced that Xperia X will be available in the US market from June 27, but now, there are reports that Canadian customers will get the handsets first. Both phones will be sold through retail stores. While the Xperia X Performance will be retailed by Bell and Rogers from June 23, the Xperia XA will be launched on the same day through Bell and Virgin Mobile in Canada. Other carriers are already lined up to sell the phones, but on different dates in June and July.

Vdeotron will start selling the Xperia X from June 29, whereas WIND, the Canadian wireless telecommunications provider, has booked Xperia XA Ultra for sale from July 14. Read this to know which is the top phablet of 2016: Sony Xperia XA Ultra or Xiaomi Mi Max.

Unlocked versions of all four models, Sony Xperia X Performance, Xperia XA, Xperia XA Ultra and Xperia X, will be sold in Canada in the coming months. However, the exact release date is not yet known.

It should also be noted that the Xperia X Performance is one of the best performers amongst Sony’s latest handsets, states Phone Arena. It features a Snapdragon 820 processor, which outclasses the Snapdragon 650 found in the regular Xperia X.

According to reports, the US price of Xperia X model, which will be released on June 26, is US$549.99 (approx. AU$738). The Xperia XA will be launched at US$279.99 (approx. AU$376) on July 17.

Xperia X Performance will be retailed for US$699.99 (approx. AU$940) from July 17 and Xperia XA Ultra will land on July 24 for a price of US$369.99 (approx. AU$497).
