Sony Xperia M5 was first announced by the company back in August 2015 and the very same handset is making its way to UK, as opposed to rumors.

What may probably surprise fans is that the company had shared that it won’t launch the device in the UK at all, as noted by Tech Radar. But after some turn of events, the Sony Xperia M5 is now up for pre-order online on and Carphone Warehouse.

As per report on GSM Arena, Sony Xperia M5 made its foray into Europe by landing in Poland and Netherlands. The handset has now come to UK and as per reports, those ordering though, the expected delivery date is said to be February 3. As for those ordering the handset through Carphone Warehouse, the expected delivery date reads out to be February 8. It is noteworthy that the Xperia M5 dipped in a shade of gold, is exclusively available through Carphone Warehouse. Fans who would want to check that version, can head here.

The Sony Xperia M5 sports a 5-inch full HD display and is powered by an octa-core processor with 3GB RAM, 16GB storage and 2600mAh battery. For an affordable price tag, the Xperia M5 does pack-in more than what many would expect. There is a mean 21MP rear camera as well as 13MP front-facing snapper. The handset is complete with a microSD card onboard which supports up to 200GB memory card.

When stacking it up against the recent Sony Xperia Z5 Compact, the Xperia M5 seems to fair really well. Not only does the Xperia M5 boast of a display with higher resolution, it is much sleeker but with a higher RAM on board. Additionally, the device also has a better front-facing camera. This is definitely worth a look for those deciding to snag a new Xperia device in UK.
