The summer season is shaping up as the best season of the year for Simmers around the globe. Only a month after the Police Update was launched, another profession quest makes its way to the well-known simulation game. In this article we try to round up everything we can about the Sims FreePlay Movie Studio update.
The Sims FreePlay Facebook page posted an initial teaser of the update last July 22. Back then, the GIF teaser wasn’t much of a clue, but it did show a guy almost run over by a cart. Some fans already got the clue by suggesting in the comments that the upcoming update has to do with the movie studio.
Two more teasers followed the first one, which showed more of the movie studio environment. Finally, Sims FreePlay rolled out the official trailer of movie studio update.
Unlike the trailer for the Police profession which showed different roles for Sims who choose such career, the movie update trailer seems more like just a tour. However, it does show different tasks done in the movie studio, like camera man, actress, make up artist, and sound engineer, among others.

As of this writing, it is unclear whether the update will require completing tasks in the workplace to level up. Also, it is unclear whether rooms/areas in the studio would require unlocking.
However, it is important to note that this is unlike the Police update. That one only introduced the Police profession at the update’s roll-out. However, an Actor profession has already been around for a long time. Hence, it will be a bummer if FreePlay resets each Actor level back to 1 just to coincide with the update.
Perhaps, the update will only let users follow their Actor sims to work. Consequently, users may let their Sims do all sorts of stuff that are only optional. Stay tuned for more updates. Also, visit The Sims FreePlay official Facebook page for firsthand news on this development.
