Selena Gomez just proved she’s the best BFF of Taylor Swift in good times, and more importantly, in bad times.

In light of the recent events in her life, Tay will certainly need a shoulder to lean on. Hence, Gomez has the perfect idea to help perk up Swift after the split from DJ Calvin Harris, HollywoodLife reported. What else could be better but for the two women to get together on her ongoing “Revival” tour? As it turns out, Gomez had asked Swift to join her on stage prior to the start of the series. Perhaps now would be a good opportunity to revisit that invitation, a source revealed to the publication.

“Selena invited Taylor to join her for a few songs on tour before her concerts even began. Now that Taylor is going through a breakup, that might become a reality,” a source revealed.

“Right now Taylor is in shock over her break up with Calvin but Selena and other friends are encouraging her to get back on stage and back in the studio, two things that may be best for her right now,” the source added.

Fans are likely thinking about what emotional songs the pop star would release following the breakup, Us Weekly remarked. The name of Taylor Swift is attached to some of, if not the best breakup music ever written, Jenna Mullins of E! News remarked. Mullins described Swift’s songs as being “just as cathartic and healing as an actual therapist.” Thus, many can relate to most of Swift’s best heartbreak songs.

Some of her “powerful breakup anthems,” the publication described, include “All Too Well” supposedly inspired by actor Jake Gyllenhaal, “Dear John” allegedly on the subject of singer John Mayer, and “Forever & Always” that hinted at her former romance with Joe Jonas.

Questions about what caused their breakup circulated just as quickly after news that Harris called it quits became public. The 32-year-old DJ ended the speculation with this tweet, Entertainment Weekly reported.

The couple just celebrated their one-year anniversary last March. The pictures from their tropical getaway didn’t suggest any trouble between the two.
