There have been a lot of rumors and speculations surrounding the Samsung Galaxy Note 7, yet there were no concrete details out there about a probable launch date. Looks like that’s changed now, a recent leak reveals that the device could well be introduced earlier than expected.
Sam Mobile got it hands on what is believed to be a leaked image of the Samsung Unpacked invite which reveals that the highly-anticipated device will be introduced to the world on August 2, 2016. If the leaked image is to be believed then the launch will be taking place at the Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center in New York. It is the same location where the Note 5 was introduced, so it makes sense once again for one of the highly anticipated devices of the year to be unveiled in front of a massive crowd that the venue can hold.
The image also features 5 curved lines indicating the number “7” with the words “The next edge is just around the corner” etched at the bottom. This further strengthens the rumors that the upcoming Samsung device will be skipping number 6 in order to align with the Galaxy S7 series. It is being widely believed that fans will most likely see only one smartphone being launched on the D-day.
As noted by Phone Arena, the handset is expected to sport a big 5.8-inch Super AMOLED display with resolutions of 1440 x 2560.The Note 7 is said to be hiding a Snapdragon 823 chipset with Adreno 530 graphics under its hood as well as a large 4000mAh battery. The device could bring 6GB RAM, 12MP primary camera along with USB Type-C port and an iris scanner. It is also widely believed to boast IP68 water resistance, as the rest of the Galaxy S7 lineup.
