Tech aficionados in UK who are waiting in the hope that they may somehow get a glimpse of the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 could be in for a treat.

A report on Gadgette, citing “a trusted Samsung source” has revealed that the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 may just arrive in the UK on the second half of January 2016. If this does happen, then the device will be touching the UK shores almost 6 months after most markets have met it. What makes the speculation even more certain is the fact that the folks at Android Central checked the details with their own sources, who have verified the information.

Why Samsung chose to launch the Galaxy S6 Edge+ but held back on releasing the Galaxy Note 5 in Europe isn’t known. Given that the company launched both the devices together in most of its markets around the globe, this move came as a surprise to many. However, even now Samsung hasn’t made any official announcement about the Galaxy Note 5 coming to UK.

According to the official statement Gadgette got its hands on, the Korean tech company has so far no plans  of bringing the Note 5 to the European market. The statement reads, “With the launch of the original Galaxy Note series in 2011, we created a whole new smart device category that set a new industry standard, which all others have followed. For our European customers, Samsung’s larger-screen portfolio continues to centre on the Galaxy S6 edge+.”

However, the sources cited by Gadgette seem to be quite sure that the device in question will be making an appearance in UK soon. Naturally, there is no word on the price and release date of the Galaxy Note 5 for the European region.

Looks like it’s going to be a wait and watch game. Fans in UK should keep their fingers crossed and check back for the official word on the arrival of the handset in the country.
