There have been whispers about Samsung working on a 12-inch Windows 10 Tablet, which began to surface in the month of August.

Weibo had posted details about Samsung being busy with creating a Windows 10 tablet dubbed as the SM-W700. At that point in time there was no information about when the tablet will be hitting markets. And now it appears that those who would like to get their hands on the device, won’t have to wait long.

Recent report on Digital Trends citing documents published by Bluetooth SIG and Wi-Fi Alliance, reveals that the Windows 10 tablet could be arriving early next year. Citing Zauba, the report shares that the SM-W700 slate does indeed sport a 12-inch display and allegedly, the tablet found its ways to India for testing but was later destroyed.

The speculated specs of the device read out to be a 12-inch Super AMOLED screen, which may either support resolutions of 2,560 x 1,600 or 3,840 x 2,400 pixels. It might come powered by a 14-nanometer Intel Core M processor as well as feature 4GB RAM and is expected to weigh only 600 grams. Also, if the current rumors are anything to go by, then the slate may arrive with an S Pen in tow. So far, that’s the only information out there as far as the specs are concerned.

Samsung tablet running Windows 10 could entice many tech aficionados, however, it is always best to tread with caution and wait to hear for reviews on the device before going ahead and making the purchase. Also, as we inch closer to the launch, more information about the device should become available, giving fans a better idea about what to expect.

As for the pricing of the tablet, a report on Phone Arena suggests that the Samsung Windows 10 Tablet could arrive with a price tag of $455 USD.
