The new “Rocky Horror Picture Show” live trailer is out and it is mighty impressive. Laverne Cox of “Orange Is the New Black” stuns as Dr. Frank-N-Furter. Directed by Kenny Ortega, the latest remake from Fox is set to outdo its original.

The “Rocky Horror Picture Show” live trailer is more colourful and stunning than you would have expected it to be. A remake of the 1975 musical, Fox has got its ingredients right for it to be a big hit.

First, it is being helmed by Kenny Ortega of the “High School Musical” fame. According to Bustle, Ortega has a great track record. He has experience in taking up something as small as “High School Musical” and transforming it into a worldwide phenomenon.

Secondly, the “Rocky Horror Picture Show” cashes in on the trend of big musical productions on the networks. For instance, Fox’s “Grease: Live” was a hit with the audiences and so were “The Sound of Music” and “Peter Pan.”

Den of Geek explains that the trailer reveals that the network is planning to stay faithful to the original as possible. For instance, Cox even sounds like she has been working on getting her impression of Tim Curry right.

Additionally, the “Rocky Horror Picture Show” has an amazing stellar cast, states TV Line. Laverne Cox will play Dr. Frank-N-Furter, Victoria Justice and Ryan McCartan will play Janet and Brad. Reeve Carney, Christina Milian, and Annaleigh Ashford will play Riff Raff, Magenta, and Columbia, respectively. Adam Lambert is Eddie and Broadway legend Ben Vereen is Dr. Scott.

Hollywood Life states that the first thing that one notices is the cast’s costumes in the trailer. The costumes personify the characters in the “Rocky Horror Picture Show.” Fox has not really specified any date for the “Rocky Horror Picture Show” live musical to air on the television screens. However, the trailer mentions “this Halloween,” implying that the show will hit the telly in October.

We are waiting.
