Rihanna and Beyonce, the top women icons in the music industry known to be in “good terms” with each other, are actually rivals ?

Rihanna and Beyonce seem to be in constant competition with each other, while there is much of a speculation of Beyonce releasing her music video Formation which features Blue Ivy, performed a day later at the Super Bowl immediately after Rihanna’s Anti album release.

Rihanna denied the humors and told  Vogue in its latest edition: “Here’s the deal,” she said. “[People] just get so excited to feast on something that’s negative. Something that’s competitive. Something that’s, you know, a rivalry. And that’s just not what I wake up to. Because I can only do me. And nobody else is going to be able to do that.”

Rihanna has definitely proved herself, there is no need for  comparisons. The Work Singer is now busy in her own fashion line. The unisex designs which she has in her fashion line are the result of the inspiration from her brothers. She told Us Weekly: “I always wanted to play the games they played and play rough and wear pants and go outside. Women feel empowered when they can do the things that are supposed to be only for men, you know?”

“It breaks boundaries, it’s liberating and it’s empowering when you feel like, Well, I can do that too.”

The circulating humors about the Umbrella singer cheating with Beyonce’s husband Jay Z are still heard today, The Huffington Post reports.

Her publicist Jonathan Ray once admitted to New York Daily News: “The PR stunt that I did was out of desperation to help break ‘Pon de Replay.’ It was reckless and I didn’t think it was going to work. I was just throwing spaghetti at the wall to see what would stick.”
