The “Baywatch” movie poster just came out and it features the hottest beach bodies fans can expect to see when the film premieres in 2017. However, the notable absence of a particular cast member has angered fans and led to a trending topic on social media.
The film adaptation of the popular television series happens to be the first film of Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra. Indeed, anticipation is high since news of her appearance in “Baywatch” broke out. However, she doesn’t appear in the first poster for the film, Indie Wire reported. Hence, fans spoke out.
Had Chopra become a victim of bullying? The actress recently revealed that she was bullied while growing up in Massachusetts. In an interview with Complex, Chopra said the experience caused her to move back to India. Page Six cited excerpts of her discussion with the publication.

“I was bullied by a freshman named Jeanine … Jeanine used to say, ‘Brownie, go back to your country, you smell of curry,’ or ‘Do you smell curry coming?’” Chopra recounted to Complex. Priyanka Chopra is the cover story for the magazine’s June/July issue.
Although she left feeling defeated, her mom secretly signed her up for the Miss India Pageant and the rest is history. Now, Priyanka Chopra is “an inborn, screen-queen magnetism, the wildly unattainable beauty wedded to the girl next door,” Complex described.
Yet in the midst of the controversy, Coverage Mail quoted information from a source who revealed her absence in the poster was intentional. “The makers of the film have a promotional plan in mind. They want to launch her in a big way. The next picture will feature only Priyanka on it. As she plays the villain in the movie, the makers want to give her special attention,” the publication wrote.
The Quint released a similar report that suggested producer-actor Dwayne Johnson had a plan in mind for Chopra. Hence, her fans would be likely happy over this development, the publication noted.
