“Quantico” season 1 finale is just around the corner, and spoilers for the highly anticipated Episode 22 are starting to flood online. With just one more episode left, what can fans expect?
Warning: spoilers ahead!
According to a report from Carter Matt, exciting and dangerous things are up ahead for Alex and the rest of NATS. Now that the real terrorist’s identity has been revealed to be Liam, fans will get more answers in the upcoming episode.
The official synopsis of “Quantico” season 1 finale, entitled “Yes,” reads, “It’s graduation day for the NATS of Quantico, while, in the future, Alex and her team find themselves head-to-head with the terrorist.” As the preview suggests, the revelations in the past two episodes are just a sneak peek of what’s about to unfold.
Carter Matt also shared that the finale episode will be used to “set the stage” for season 2. “With that in mind, perhaps this particular finale will be just as much a beginning as it is an ending, as there’s going to be pressure to set up something else that is exciting, while at the same time very different than anything that came before it,” the report added.
Showrunner Joshua Safran previously reassured fans that there will be no cliffhangers for this season. As he said in an interview, fans will get the facts and answers straight just before season 1 officially ends.
“Before the finale, you’ll learn who [attacked New York], and in the finale, you’ll learn why and how” he said. “I’m not a fan of cliffhangers. We’re not leaving anyone’s life in the balance.”
Meanwhile, Entertainment Weekly teased that a “critical new character” will be introduced in the “final minute and work up to the second season that will maintain the two-timeline structure.”
“Quantico” season 1 finale will air on Sunday, May 15, 2016 on ABC at 10 p.m. ET.
