Prison Break Season 5 trailer revealed huge things, including Michael and Lincoln embarking in the biggest escape ever.
Fans of Prison Break knew of Michael’s fate when the show ended its run in 2009. In the new preview of Fox series, it was revealed that Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller) is alive and back in prison. However, his wife Sara (Sarah Wayne Callies) believes otherwise. She tells Michael’s brother Lincoln (Dominic Purcell) that Michael got sick and died. Lincoln then shows her an image of Michel in a Yemeni prison. “Then how do you explain that?” he asked Sara.
Here are the biggest details of the upcoming Prison Break Season 5 that you have to know.
1. Breaking out of the country
Miller earlier teased that Prison Break season 5 is not just about breaking out of a prison. This time, it involves breaking out of a country.

2. ISIL storyline
Prison Break Season 5 will revolve around the tattooed jailbird being imprisoned for alleged dealings with a terrorist group. This time, however, it will be Lincoln who will plot the biggest escape plan ever to free his brother out of prison. Lincoln will devise a strategy and ask help from old friends to break his brother out of jail.

3. Who kept Michael alive?
In the preview, C-Note tells Lincoln: “They have him in here for working with ISIL… trying to take down the government.” Is the terror group responsible for the fact that Michael is still alive?
4. Original cast
Some of the original cast members will also reprise their respective roles. Robert Knepper will still portray T-Bag, Amaury Nolasco as Fernando and Rockmond Dunbar as C-Note.
5. Season 6
Thus far, the cast only signed up for nine episodes for Season 5. However, Miller said he is willing to do more if the show’s producers come up with more stories worth telling. This means Season 6 will also depend on how Season 5 will go.
Prison Break Season 5 will premiere on Fox in 2017.
