The small screens are getting ready to welcome Prison Break Season 5. But there’s a catch! The show will only have nine episodes. Meanwhile, actor Wentworth Miller conveyed that the show-runners might consider adding more episodes to Prison Break Season 5, if it gets good viewership rating. In short, the show’s future is now in fans’ hands and there are no chances of it getting cancelled yet.

After witnessing a thumping success in last four seasons, in January Fox picked up the show for a fifth season renewal.  In fact, adding to our surprise, actor Wentworth Miller recently disclosed that the network may consider adding more episodes if the upcoming season will be received well by the fans, cited Digital Spy.

What the Spoilers Say?

These days there are plenty of spoilers and non-spoilers floating around the internet about Prison Break Season 5. They all hinted that the fifth season finale will again feature a major death.  Speculations are high that it might be Dominic Purcell’s Lincoln Burrows. On the other hand, some predicted that the next season will be the last for Sarah Wayne Callies’ Sara Tancredi. That means, Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller) and Sara won’t have a happy ending.

Reports have it that Sara will join Lincoln to set her man free. However, getting him out in a foreign land won’t be as easy as it seems.  So, one of these [Lincoln or Sara] may die in the process.

To keep the fans excited, the cast and crew have revealed some interesting details about the show. Earlier actor Dominic Purcell posted images showing off his inked arms. Interestingly, his tattoos hold the resemblance to the maps and blueprints resembling what Michael Scofield had on his body for the last four seasons.

The Plot So Far:

The series follows the story of two brothers Lincoln Burrows and Michael Scofield.  Dominic Purcell’s Lincoln Burrows is a high school drop-out and a convicted criminal, who was wrongfully accused of and charged with the murder of Terence Steadman, the brother of the Vice President of the United States.

Wentworth Miller’s Michael Scofield is an engineer who chalks out a plan in order to help his brother to escape prison.  He deliberately gets himself sent to the same prison to break the both of them out, from the inside out. He had the prison’s blueprint on his whole body as tattoos.

Hints through Official Preview!

The official sneak-peak of the upcoming season shows Michael Scofield is alive and now serving his sentence in the Ogygia Prison in Yemen for his involvement with ISIL.  However, Sara and Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell) were unaware of the fact, indicates the preview. Robert Knepper ‘s Theodore “T-Bag” Bagwell  will break the news to  Burrows. After receiving the news Lincoln set off to gather the other members of the Fox River Eight to help Michael escape from prison.

Michael Scofield return from the death will be full of twist and turns!

Besides, it’s been hinted that Prison Break Season 5 will be filled with more drama and action. Previously a Storyboards released by Entertainment Weekly featured a thrilling action sequence where Lincoln being chased!   Not just this, show-writer Wilmott also indicated at a touching scene in Episode 8 of the series, which will make the brothers “weep together.” The show might even feature an emotional reunion of Michael and his son.

Based on the spoilers, we can say Prison Break Season 5 will have everything to keep a fan glued to his seat. Now that, fans are gearing up to learn more about Paul Scheuring’s hit drama, nine episodes may not be enough to suffice their desire. Don’t you agree?
